A bit about me

Hello and thank you so much for visiting my site. My name is Karina Middleton and I am a yoga teacher and healing harp practitioner based in West Wittering on the West Sussex coast.

After many years living in different parts of the world — including Somerset, Newcastle, London, France, Spain and New Zealand — I have returned to my roots in West Sussex. I now live by the sea in beautiful West Wittering with my two young children and my husband.

I have been practising yoga since 2010 and teaching since 2015. I offer yoga classes in West Wittering and East Wittering, as well as mum and baby yoga, toddler music and movement classes, and healing harp sessions designed to support relaxation, nervous system balance and a deeper connection to yourself.

I love witnessing the positive impact yoga and mindful movement can have on people’s lives. My classes are welcoming, supportive spaces where you can slow down, breathe, and reconnect with your body. I believe yoga is for everyone, and I feel incredibly grateful to share these practices with my students and local community.

A deep love of India — the birthplace of yoga — continues to inspire my teaching. I often weave elements of yogic philosophy, meditation and mindfulness into my classes, helping students explore not only the physical practice of yoga but also its deeper wisdom.

Alongside yoga, I offer healing harp meditations, using my beautiful 13-string Luna harp. The harp’s soft, celestial tones create a deeply calming soundscape that supports relaxation and emotional balance. Combined with gentle vocal toning, these sound healing sessions invite the body into a state of rest and inner peace.

I am also currently training with Reiki Evolution as part of my journey into energy healing. Having felt drawn to this work for many years, it feels deeply aligned to now be studying Reiki and integrating these subtle healing practices into my path. I look forward to offering Reiki sessions in the future.

Through yoga, sound, and mindful practices, my intention is simply to create spaces where people can pause, reconnect, and feel more at home in themselves.

My yoga classes

I teach well planned, light-hearted classes and always teach to the room, offering demonstrations, hands on assists and modifications where appropriate.

Depending on the style of class you're booked into, the class will vary considerably. In a flow class we will create heat and build strength before slowing down to stillness at the end, in a gentle flow class we move carefully flowing softly through the whole class to provide extra nourishment for our bodies.

Chair yoga classes are a very gentle form of yoga where we use chairs for support while performing poses and breathing exercises, making it suitable for people with limited mobility, balance issues, or those who find traditional yoga inaccessible.

In the mum and baby classes things are a little bit different; we sing songs, use shiny props and put on a bit of a show for our babies while we flow around our mats building strength, stability and flexibility in our bodies, and we do some gentle yoga stretches with the babies too. In this class we also sing songs and have a lot of fun while bonding with our little ones!

My yoga certifications

I am a 500 hour certified teacher in vinyasa flow and hatha yoga. I completed my initial 200 hour training in vinyasa flow with Yoga London in 2015, and then had the wonderful experience of completing my intensive 300 hour training in ashtanga vinyasa and hatha with the World Peace Yoga School in Rishikesh, India in 2017.

I completed my 85 hour pregnancy, post-natal and mum & baby teacher training with the amazing Sally Parkes in 2019.
